The story

Learning through operating responsibility

Halma's Future Leaders Programme consisted of six-month assignments across different businesses, functions, markets, and locations. The experience created an operating foundation that continues to shape how I assess investments and work with management teams.

Operations in Singapore

At Avire, I led a global inventory-reduction project. By implementing stock-holding policies and disposal strategies for slow-moving and obsolete stock, the programme reduced inventory from £5.5m to £4.6m.

Product management in the US

At Aquionics in Kentucky, I was Product Manager for PearlAqua, the first UV-C LED water purifier. I sourced key suppliers and defined component specifications, helping reduce the bill of materials by more than ten times.

Product development in the UK

At Apollo Fire Detectors, I developed a new sounder alarm product from the ground up, gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design, project management, prototyping, and testing.
